Is there a mushroom dispensary in Las Vegas?

Not a legal psilocybin one: Nevada has no psilocybin program, and possessing it is a felony under state law. This page explains Nevada's law and bills, what the 'mushroom' businesses in Las Vegas search results really are, and where the nearest legal options are.

Can you buy magic mushrooms legally in Las Vegas?

No. Psilocybin is illegal under Nevada law and Schedule I under federal law, Nevada has no program that allows it, and a first or second possession offense is a category E felony under NRS 453.336.1 Nevada's dispensaries are licensed for cannabis, and we found no city or county measure in the state that eases psilocybin enforcement.

If you decide to order online anyway, My Mushroom Dispensary, run by the same people who publish this register, has a page on magic mushrooms in Las Vegas. Buying psilocybin online or by mail is still illegal under federal law and in every state, Nevada included.

What has Nevada's Legislature done about psilocybin?

It created a working group and left the penalties alone. SB 242 was introduced in 2023 to decriminalize possessing and cultivating psilocybin mushrooms and to require a study. Lawmakers amended it to drop both and create a psychedelic medicines working group instead, and the governor signed that version. Penalties stayed at up to four years in prison or fines of up to $5,000.2 Two years later a pilot program bill failed.3

Nevada psilocybin bills, 2023 to 2026
BillWhat it proposedOutcome
SB 242 (2023)Decriminalize possession and cultivation; study psychedelic medicineAmended to a working group only; approved June 12, 20233
AB 378 (2025)An alternative therapy pilot programFailed, June 20253

So the possession statute is unchanged. NRS 453.336(2)(a) makes a first or second offense involving a Schedule I to IV substance "a category E felony as provided in NRS 193.130."1 We found no psilocybin bill pending in Nevada as of November 2, 2026.

What are the "mushroom" businesses in Las Vegas searches?

"Mushroom" covers four kinds of business, and none of them is a legal psilocybin shop. When we checked the top eight results for "mushroom dispensary las vegas" on Nov. 2, 2026, most were about local culinary mushroom farming, with a forum post among them and cannabis menu pages further down.

  • Culinary farms sell food mushrooms. They are legal and not psychedelic.
  • Cannabis and hemp stores. Nevada's licensed dispensaries sell cannabis. Hemp shops near Strip casinos have been reported to look like cannabis stores; Las Vegas passed a June 2023 rule making hemp stores post that they aren't licensed to sell cannabis, and Clark County, which covers most of the Strip, says it checks hemp stores for compliance.4
  • Amanita muscaria and "nootropic" products. Amanita is a different mushroom with different chemistry. It isn't a federally controlled substance, but the FDA said in December 2024 that it and its compounds are "unapproved food additives" and recommended that people avoid eating foods that contain them.5
  • Psilocybin sold without a license, sometimes under an Amanita or "legal" label. A 2024 CDC report found unlabeled psilocybin or psilocin in 4 of 6 packages of "nootropic" gummies, sold as Amanita or other mushroom products, bought at gas stations and smoke shops near Charlottesville, Virginia.6

A "legal mushroom" label doesn't protect the buyer: if the product contains psilocybin, holding it is the same felony. What testing found in shop gummies has the studies, and why cannabis dispensaries can't sell psilocybin explains the licensing rules.

What does the record show for Nevada?

Very little, and none of it is about storefronts. The register's Nevada section holds 2 records, both legislative and both graded reported: SB 242 in 2023 and AB 378 in 2025. It has no Nevada raids, closures, warning letters or storefront reports, against 23 records for California and 22 for Colorado as of Nov. 2, 2026. We found no official or news record of psilocybin storefronts, raids or Amanita-shop enforcement in Las Vegas or Reno. That is a gap in the public record, not proof that none exist.

What's the risk if you buy psilocybin in Las Vegas?

Nevada treats possession as a felony, not a ticket. A first or second offense is a category E felony under NRS 453.336, with penalties of up to four years in prison or fines of up to $5,000.12 Federal law adds simple possession under 21 U.S.C. 844: up to a year and a minimum $1,000 fine on a first offense.7 Using the mail, phone or internet to arrange a drug sale is a separate federal offense under 21 U.S.C. 843(b).8

Untested products add a health risk on top of the legal one. If someone is in trouble, call 911 or Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222, and see where to get help.

Out of state, in a supervised session. The closest regulated programs are in Oregon and Colorado, and neither sells psilocybin to take home.

Legal psilocybin options for Nevada residents, as of November 2, 2026

Oregon's health authority is plain about the limits: "Products may not be purchased and taken off-site." A client starts with a preparation session, then has an administration session at the service center, and the facilitator follows up within 72 hours; people diagnosed with active psychosis may be found ineligible.9 Colorado also lets adults 21+ possess and share psilocybin without payment under state law, but only "for the purpose of personal use and without remuneration," and that protection stops at the state line.14 Check any center against the state's own list; the official directories are linked from where psilocybin is sold legally, and our Oregon and Denver pages explain each program.

Questions people ask

Are shrooms legal in Nevada?

No. Possession is a category E felony on a first or second offense, and Nevada has no psilocybin program. SB 242 (2023) created a working group instead of changing penalties.

Do Las Vegas dispensaries sell mushrooms or mushroom gummies?

Licensed dispensaries are licensed for cannabis. A "mushroom" gummy from a smoke shop or gas station may be a supplement, an Amanita product or a psilocybin product with the wrong label, and you can't tell which from the package.

Can someone from Nevada use an Oregon service center?

Yes, if they are 21 or older. Oregon says clients don't need to live in Oregon and need no prescription, but psilocybin is bought and taken on site, and nothing goes home.

Is Nevada going to legalize psilocybin?

Nothing suggests it soon. SB 242 dropped decriminalization in 2023, AB 378 failed in 2025, and we found no pending bill as of November 2, 2026.
